He is survived by: his son John Thomas Schehl; his grandchildren, Ryan Wharton Jr. and Izabella Schehl; his niece Kimmy Kane (Schehl); and his siblings-in-law, William B. Church, John B. Church, Sarah A. Church, Margaret R. Church, Barb Church and Mary E. Church.
