He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Hughes and Kathleen Hughes (Hulette). He is survived by: his significant other Marinell Schafer; his children, Donald Hughes and Jody Hughes (Brenda); his grandchildren, Kaia Kathleen Hughes and Danny James Hughes; and his siblings, David Hughes, Kathy Molen, Danny Hughes, Marsha Hall and Melissa Hughes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith-Miner Funeral Home (2700 W Wackerly St, Midland, MI 48640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
