He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. "Bill" Emery and Beatrice L. Emery (Livingston); his son Carl Ray Emery; his sister Beverly Root; and his daughter-in-law Carolyn Sue Emery.
He is survived by: his wife Mary L. Emery (Bowman); his children, Bryan Emery of Beaverton, Mark Vercruysse (Margo) of New Mexico, Mike Burney of New Mexico and Julie Emery-Groulx (Jonathan) of Sanford; and his siblings, Jane Chrivia (Max), Linda Newman (Doug) and Willard Emery (Dianne).
