She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Black and Georgiana Black (Desermeau); her husband Joseph Ashley; her siblings, Maryon, Francis, Lloyd, Helen Clark (Black), Albert "Roy", Arnold, Ralph and Donna Smith (Black); her children, Marilyn, David, Sandra Tyson (Mayo), Donald and Dennis; and her great grandchild Maria Wade.

She is survived by: her siblings, Arlington, Faithy Black, Harvey Black and Florence Moutsatson (George); her grandchildren, Shannon Wade (Tim), Robert Church (Katherine), James Church, Cory Tyson, Emily Mayo, Kevin Mayo, Bianca Farkas (Christopher) and George Mayo (Aryn); and her great grandchildren, Nicole Wade, Timothy Wade, Isabella Church, Elliana Church, Alex Church, Caitlyn Tyson, Bodeyn Little, Dyson Mayo, Barrett Mayo and Adler Mayo. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
