He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Steffens and June Steffens (Gohsman); and his brother Bob Steffens of Vassar. He is survived by: his children, Nicole Valley (Greg) and Matthew Steffens (Susie Jones); his grandchildren, Samira Kalinowski, Elise Valley, Chloe Valley and Ashton Valley; and his sisters, Linda Williamson (Tom), Mary Kennard (Michael) and Julie Howell.
