He was predeceased by : his father James Luckett; his stepfather Robert Comfort; his children, Kyle Cherry and Amber Wallace; and his brother Jim Luckett.

He is survived by : his mother Florence Comstock; his children, Danny Lee Oswald (Jessy), Misti Lyn Luckett, Bobby Cherry (Raquel), David Luckett (Amber), Chaz Luckett and Curtis Miller; and his siblings, Rosaly Luckett and Tim Luckett. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
