He was predeceased by: his parents, Freddie Leroy McDonald and Lottie Lee McDonald (Mann); his wife Ruthella Ann McDonald (Alford); his grandson Christopher Todd Chaffee; and his son Jack Lynn McDonald.
He is survived by: his children, Dixie Lee (McDonald), Scott Chaffee of Carlsbad, TX, Cynthia Lou (McDonald) and Brent Link; his grandchildren, Jeffery McDonald, Joseph McDonald, Brian McDonald, Timothy Chaffee, Christopher Chaffee, Tabitha Chaffee, Jason Link, Jennifer Link and Sam Link; and his daughter-in-law Debbie McDonald (Palmer). He is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Tri-City Seventh-day Adventist School in his honor.
