He was predeceased by : his wife Fen; his daughter Sue Koster; and his sisters, Marjorie VanderVeen and Joan Timmerman. He is survived by : his children, Mark (Lucia Timmerman), Leon (Marcia Timmerman), John (Melody Timmerman), Laurie Timmerman and Bob (Rhonda Koster); and his sister-in-law Eleanor (Roger Rozeveld). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Dutton United Reformed Church (6950 Hanna Lake Ave SE, Caledonia, MI 49316).
