He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Scheidel and Kathleen Scheidel (McGuire); his brothers, Paul Scheidel, Phil Scheidel and Dennis Scheidel; and his nephew Caleb Scheidel.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Scheidel (Jamie), Dennis Scheidel (Emily) and Nicki Chapin; his siblings, Debra Hardy (Scott), Brenda Wright (Tony), Amy Scheidel and Eric Scheidel (Colleen); and his grandchildren, Samantha Scheidel, Kyle Hulbert, Ashley Georgiades, Mikayla DeLaCruze, Christion Scheidel, Katelynn Cook, Liam Scheidel, Henry Scheidel, Zachary Chapin, Conner Chapin and Devin Eppard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
