He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hooper and Agnes Hooper (Zwart); his wife Shirley Hooper; his son Mark Hooper; and his brothers, John and Ron Hooper.
He is survived by: his children, David Hooper (Beth), Richard Hooper (Nicole), Todd Hooper (Shari), Tim Hooper (Jayne), Jeffrey Hooper, Darlene Hooper and Teri Leedy (Mike); and his sister Christine. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
