He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Lee Swanson (Rogers) and Howard Swanson; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Josephine Zeedyk; his siblings, Judy Heffelfinger and Larry Swanson; and his siblings-in-law, Jack Heffelfinger, Terry Swanson and Lavern Rahn.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Ann Zeedyk; his children, Brenda Hess (Matthew "Chip") of Middleville and Bruce (Beth) of Hudson; his sister-in-law Adelle Swanson of Mattawan; his brother Ronald; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Zeedyk of Danforth and Arlene Rahn of Zeeland; and his grandchildren, Alexander Brown (Amanda) of Niles, Benjamin "Badoski" Brown of Middleville, Carter and Emma Swanson of Hudson, Iowa.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
