She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence "Nick" Nixon and Bertha Nixon (Garver); her son Brian Russell; and her sister Sherry Kurzynowski. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Newton; her daughter Lonie Howell (George); her sister Sue Simon; and her grandchildren, Bryan Bennett, Justin, Brittnay, Kirsten, Kylee and Devin. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
