He was predeceased by: his son Mark; his sister Helen Pavela; and his brother-in-law John Pavela. He is survived by: his wife Betty Bidwell Barry; his daughters, Michelle Barry (Safwat Elsherbiny) and Julie Barry Beaton; his grandchildren, Lee Beaton, Sydney Beaton, Amy Elsherbiny and Adam Elsherbiny; and his brother Don Barry (Kay). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
