It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Smith (Michigan Center, Michigan), born in Jackson, Michigan, who passed away on July 7, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Nancy; his son-in-law Dan Poole; his granddaughter Rachel Poole; his parents, Leroy and Sophie; and his siblings, Sophie Reitnauer, Catherine "Katie" St. Martin, Albert and Frankie Smith.
He is survived by : his children, Tina Poole, Leroy Smith, Rosie Ransom and Patty Ferris; his grandchildren, D. J. Poole, Jaimie Hines (Cory), R. J. Petrimoulx, Michael Ferris (Megan) and Matthew Ferris (Jessica); his siblings, Barbara Soltis (Jas), Hattie Murphy (Jim), Tony Smith and Darlene Sprague; and his daughter Roofing. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
