She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Yates and Salena Yates (Weaver); her husband Richard; and her brothers, Donald Yates, Leonard Yates and Eugene Yates.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Huizenga (Ron), Anita Stemen (Dave), Kathryn Colby (Jon), Amy Kurtycz (Eric), Andrew Hiss (Karen) and Samuel Hiss (Cindy). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
