He was predeceased by: his wife Julia; his siblings, Ward Jr., George, Richard, Jackie and Patsy Wilbur; his granddaughter Angel Barnum; and his parents, Ward Swann and Bessie Swann.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Swann (Carol), Susan Bolton (Dennis) and Candice Stapleton (Phillip). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
