He is survived by: his significant other Elizabeth Koenig (Howe); his children, Peter Koenig of Big Bay, Melissa Derocha of Omaha, NE, Desiree' Lauritsen (Eric) of Pelkie, MI, Jonathan Koenig of Ishpeming, MI, Daniel Derocha (Miranda) of Sheboygan, WI and Bernard Maxfield (Jenna Drake); and his grandchildren, Jaden, Daniel, Lynn, Joey, Noah, Joy, Brantley, Jadyn, Bubbie and Elizabeth. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
