He is survived by: his wife Denise Szczepkowski; his children, Karly Szczepkowski (Brian Graham), Ryan Szczepkowski (Natalie), Billy Steiner (Devin Trier) and Chelsea Foley (Sean); and his grandchildren, Lucy Szczepkowski, Thomas Szczepkowski, Jack Szczepkowski, Angus Foley and Cormac Foley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
