Jayna Lynne Ankley Obituary
Jayna Lynne Ankley (Thomas), age 50, of Metamora, MI passed away peacefully on April 13, 2022, in the comforts of her home after a long battle with cancer.
Jayna was born June 24, 1971, in Flint, MI, the daughter of Len and Sharon (Walworth) Thomas. She graduated from Flint Southwestern Class of 1989, and the Hurley School of Radiology. She married Joseph Paul Ankley on May 8, 1999. They have three sons; Paul (22), Spencer (21) and Owen Ankley (18).
Jayna worked many years in the medical field, as well as, enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for their Metamora home and cottage at Otsego Lake, MI. Her greatest love was her boys, dogs, pet chickens, and northern Michigan. Jayna’s sweet demeanor, beautiful smile and energy will never be forgotten. She was a silent caregiver for many.
Jayna is predeceased by her in-laws Paul (Carol) Ankley, aunt and uncle Marilyn (William) Wilson, aunt Katherine Walworth, cousin, Stacy Walworth and infant sister.
Jayna leaves to cherish her memory; husband, Joe; sons Paul, Spencer, and Owen; parents, Len and Sharon Thomas; brother, Scott Thomas; nephews, Ryan and Daniel Thomas; brothers-in-law, Father Christopher Ankley, Matthew (Rebecca) Ankley; nephew, Ethan Ankley; uncles Wayne (Lois) Walworth and Donald (Laura) Walworth.

Friends may visit with the Ankley family on Tuesday, April 19th from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A Funeral Mass will be held on April 20th at 11:00 a.m at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lapeer, MI. Fr. Chris Ankley will officiate. A luncheon will immediately follow. Jayna will be laid to rest at Otsego Lake Township Cemetery in Gaylord, MI at a later date.
