He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Thelma Childress; his wife Rose Mary Coulter-Owens; his stepson Scott Edens; his sons, Jason and Richard Owens; his stepchildren, Bridgette Coulter-Houghton (Brent) and Greg Coulter (Amanda Fox); his grandchildren, Kaylynn Coulter, Isabell Houghton, Paige and Maddison Edens; his cousin Robert Owens (Marie Frances); and his close friend Bandit.
