It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guy Nelson of Metamora, Michigan, born in Royal Oak, Michigan, who passed away on October 25, 2020, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Frank Nelson; and his brother Paul Nelson. He is survived by: his mother Mania "Mary" Nelson (Kalinowski) of Royal Oak; his wife Theresa Nelson; his granddaughter Amelia; his stepson Bryan Daniels (Amanda) of Almont; his siblings, Mark Nelson of Royal Oak, Kris Nelson (Michele) of Howell, Marsha Sobel (Jeff) of White Lake and Amy Burg (Jeff) of Florida; his nephews, Matthew Nelson (Younghee) of South Korea, Emmett Nelson of Colorado, Katlyn Sienkiewicz of Port Huron and John Sienkiewicz (Emma) of Rockford; his great-niece Nuri; and his great-nephew Shiwoo.

“When I started at Troy, Guy was a huge help and I could turn to him for anything I struggled with. I always looked up to him. Not only was he such an amazing coworker, but he was also very genuine and funny and I always found his laugh very contagious. I always admired his love for his family and found it so heartwarming. I still can't believe he is gone. My prayers and condolences go out to his family and may God help give strength for this very difficult time.”
