It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Cecil Nelson (Metamora, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on June 18, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Nelson and Roxanne "Irene" Nelson; and his sister Ruby Faybik. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Nelson of Metamora; his children, Marvin Nelson of Metamora, Russell Nelson (Margi) of St. Clair Shores and Roxanne Boyle (Earl) of North Branch; and his grandchildren, Dustin, Burke of Laingsburg, Jessica Nelson of St. Clair Shores and Mary Nelson of St. Clair Shores. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
