Dennis Henry Kling Obituary
Dennis Henry Kling of Mesick passed away Wednesday November 20, 2024 at his home. He was 81. Dennis was born on December 28, 1942 in Hoboken, New Jersey to Gosta Lars & Bertha Joanna (Tommessen) Kling and they preceded him in death.
Dennis graduated from Hastings High School in Hastings, Michigan where he had lived most of his life. He had been employed at E.W. Bliss Co. in Hasting for over 30 years and after retiring he worked at Star Force for a short time.
Dennis Enjoyed being with his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren, Lauran, Thomas and Tray. For many years the happiest times were when he was able to ride his motorcycle.
Dennis was a true patriot through and through having served our country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. After leaving the Navy he kept in touch with shipmates and made various trips to yearly reunions organized for the personnel of the ships he served on. He was an active member of the AMVETS Post of Mesick and spent many happy hours with other members discussing past experiences.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Ann Kling of Mesick; son, Dennis J. (Pamela) Kling of Washington; step-son, John Jarman of Florida; grandchildren: Lauren Kling, Thomas Kling and Tray Black; a sister, Gayle (Robert) Shreve of Mesick. He is also survived by many friends, nieces, nephews and his very special "sister" Barbara Kling.
In addition to his parents Dennis was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Fay (Cairn s) Kling and 3 siblings: Richard Pederson, Russell Kling and Linda Sizeland.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
