He was predeceased by: his grandson Jordan Shemanski (Natalie); his wife Ellen Schoonmaker Betz; and his sister Marlene Miller. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Powell (George) of Riverdale, Amy Gebhardt (Gary) of Burton and Joseph H. Betz Jr. (Deneese) of Merrill; his grandchildren, Dale, Adam (Thia), Jeffery Rohn (Shari), Justin (Jaimee), Brett (Tiffany) and Heather Margres (Alex); his great grandchildren, Savannah, Shayde, Emmett, Amelia, Ellis, Khloe, JT and Gemma; his brother Richard Betz of California; and his friends, Lillian Novak, Shihtzu and Gracie. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, family and friends.
