He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Horvat and Hermina Horvat; his spouse Rosa Lee Smythe; and his brothers, John Horvat and Stephen Horvat.
He is survived by: his children, James Joseph Horvat (Gail), Kurt Patrick Horvat (Jodi) and Deborah Lynn Stoneman (Tim); his grandchildren, Justin Stoneman (Jamie), Jared Stoneman (Shannon), Jami Van Loon (Wouter), Jena Laubscher (Joe), Dan Horvat (Tammy), Noah Horvat and Gracie Horvat; his great grandchildren, BayLee, Brooke, Brayden, Gabrielle, Elijah, Janel, Alexa, Jaxon, Sawyer, Ezra and Franja; and his niece Kelly Pratt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charity of Choice.
