He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Douglass L. Hartz, Martha F Hartz (Miller), George R. Bergstrom and Evelyn M Bergstrom (Schilawski); his aunts, Barbara West, Merry Hartz, Nancy Johnson and Judy Skogen; and his uncle Robert G. Bergstrom.
He is survived by: his parents, John Hartz and Barbara Hartz (Bergstrom) of Menominee, Michigan; his fiancée Rose Geniesse of Fremont, WI; his daughters, Carolyn Hartz (Michael Schoenherr) of Jefferson, WI and Raechel Tomes (Morgan Bathalon) of Milton, WI; and his sister Susan Relling (Thomas) of Shoreview, MN.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Community Covenant Church (1123 13th St, Menominee, MI 49858). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Riverside Cemetery (1401 Memorial Dr, Menominee, MI 49858).
