He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Reese and Marion Reese (Watry); his son Robert S. Reese; and his mother-in-law Thelma Schwobe. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Schwobe; his children, Rhonda Klapper (Tony) of Green Bay and Douglas Reese of Green Bay; his grandchildren, Mitchell Klapper (Sarah), Ryan Klapper, Mason Klapper, McKayla Reese and Skylar Reese; and his siblings, Ronald Reese (Diane), Roy Reese (Kathy) and Barbara Jean Valleskey (David). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
