She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Shampine and Mary Shampine (Vallier); her significant other Alphonse A.; her daughter Marcia "Pootie" Burns; and her siblings, Nancy Radmer (Emil) and James Ward.
She is survived by: her children, James "Brown" Cheek of Menominee and Mary "ChiChi" Cheek of Marinette; her sister-in-law Ruth Ward of Two Rivers; her granddaughters, Terri Harris (Brandon) of Marinette and Sarah Cairns (Rusty) of Marinette; and her great grandchildren, Ahrianna, Isabella and Alexander.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Thielen Funeral Home (1403 Newberry Ave, Marinette, WI 54143). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Holy Spirit Church (1016 10th Ave, Menominee, MI 49858).
