She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Bruso and Susan Bruso; her husband Albert J. Cole; her son Robert F. Cole; and her sisters, Betty Plude and Kathleen Ruleau.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Johnson (Robert E. Jr.) of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Barbara Williams (Pete) of Hayden Lake, ID, Terri Chevalier of Zion, IL, Sandi Ruotsi (Mike) of Skandia, MI and Kent Cole (Amy) of Newaygo, MI; and her grandchildren, Robert Johnson III, Andrew Johnson, Stephen J. Chevalier Jr., Karen Maki, Daniel Rickaby Jr., Ryan Rickaby, Joshua Cole and Dustin Cole. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in LaVerne's honor to UP Home Health and Hospice.
