He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Kowalewski and Cecile Kowalewski (Boufford); and his son-in-law Daniel Zeuske. He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia (Kowalewski) and Winter (Peshtigo); his children, Dan Kowal (Yumi Ono), Karen (Kowal), Sarah Kowal (Bill Peterson) and Jessica (Kowal); his grandchildren, Ben Zeuske, Clara Kowal, Nick Zeuske, Joseph Zeuske, Morgan Peterson, Hope Rieger (Peterson) and Aaron Rieger; and his great grandchild Sofia Rieger. He is also survived by his great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents.
Donations in his memory can be made to the Salvation Army in Marinette, Wisconsin.
