She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ross and Grace Ross (Craig); her husband Jim of Chicago's Austin High School; and her brothers, Joe Jr. (Infant) and Graham Craig Ross.
She is survived by: her friend Bill W.; her children, Barbara Herzog (Paul), Cheryl Thuente (Dan), Dave Deetjen (Kim), Lois Palmer (Scott) and Mary Deetjen (Brian Duda); her grandchildren, Carly Ruiz (David), Katie Herzog (Dan Schulenberg), Emma Wimer (Brandon), Nicholas Thuente (Katelyn Corcoran), Chase Thuente (Jessica), Mallory Bendorf (Michael), Marc Deetjen (Abby), Grace Walder (David), Jonni Deetjen (Sam) and Jamie Priester-Deetjen (Wren); and her great grandchildren, James, Billy, Jude, Silas, Leo, Ellie, Josie, Luke, Micah and Rebekah.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (1309 14th Ave, Menominee, MI 49858). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations in Jan's name may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church of Menominee, Michigan where she was a member.
