He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rick and Margaret Rick (McGuire); his spouse Shirley Tappy; his sisters, Bette Rick and Pat Nicklaus; and his brother-in-law Glen Nicklaus.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Margaret Erickson (Randy), Colleen Messenger, Richard Knotek (Deb), Kevin Knotek (Erin), James Knotek (Beth), Rick Nicklaus (Marlene) and Donald Nicklaus; and his friend Niles Amundsen. He is also survived by great nieces, great nephews.
