He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Grosschadle and Ida Swanson; his wife Sherril A. Simon; his sister Carol Wozniak; and his son-in-law Pete Dion.

He is survived by: his children, Vicki Lange of Marinette, Peggy LaValley (Bill) of Saginaw, TX, Jay Grosschadle (Lori) of Green Bay, Pamela Grosschadle of Menominee and Amy Dion of Menominee; and his grandchildren, Bruce Lange, Michael Lange, Brian Lange, Christopher Lange, Bill LaValley Jr. (Susan), Steven LaValley, Ryan LaValley, Tara Lane and Jacob Grosschadle. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jerry's name to the Menominee Animal Shelter.
