He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald Smith and Julia "Jean" Smith (LeSage); and his daughter Rebecca Jean. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Smith of Menominee; and his children, Edward Gerald Smith of Peshtigo, Nicholas James Smith (Nicole) of Marinette, Gregory Allan Smith (Michelle Travisano) of Sobieski and Anna Marie Smith of Menominee. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Resurrection Parish (2608 18th St, Menominee, MI 49858). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the American Legion (818 1st St, Menominee, MI 49858).
