He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Peoples and Mary Peoples (West); his wife Joan; and his son Michael Peoples. He is survived by: his children, Kristi Jo Ray (David), Paula Johnson (Russ), Alexander Pierce (Sammantha), Ray Pierce (Marie) and Milo Pierce; his daughter-in-law Janice Peoples; and his grandchildren, Erin Pierce of Jamie Pierce, A. J, Kloie Pierce, David Ray IV, Jeremy Johnson, Richard Johnson, Amanda Street and Joseph E. Peoples. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
