He was predeceased by: his former wife Marie Steele; and his brother Jim Steele. He is survived by: his children, Kirk Steele (Elaine) of Harriman, TN, Kim Steele (Jorge) of Guadalajara and Mexico; his stepchildren, Bob Fess (Robin) of Mendon, MI, Ted Fess (Kim) of Windsor and Jeannine Brown (Deon) of Houston, TX.; his grandchildren, Jennifer Willoughby (Sam), Tyler Steele (Kattie), Karlie Batten (Garrett), Jessica Fess (Glenn), Samantha McIntosh (Kevin), Deon Jr. Brown (Maria), Skylar Brown (Maxine), Jazzlyne Ardoin (Jordan), Lilliana Fess and Penelope Fess; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Emery, Brynn, Rylee, Mateo, Gabriella, Shia and Jonah; his niece Connie Devries (Herman); and his nephew Gary Steele (Maria).
