He is survived by: his children, Sheila Shepherd of Mendon, Donna Stevens (Joseph) of Mendon, John Smith of Missouri, Allen Burr of Three Rivers, Cindy Armour of Nottawa, Ernest Carl Shepherd of Missouri and Christine Shepherd of Sturgis; and his siblings, Katherine Snyder, Perry Shepherd, LaWayne Shepherd, Earily Shepherd, Flint Shepherd, Linda Shepherd, Brenda Bradley and Annette Shepherd.
