He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard C. Haas and Mildred M. Haas (English); his wife Elaine Hamilton; his son C. J. "Kit" Haas, II; his granddaughter Lauren Munao; and his siblings, Terrence "Ted" Haas, Arthur "Art" Haas, Jeannette Donnelly and Joyce Beebe.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Haas (Bev) of Vicksburg, Kathy Gray (Bill Deminie) of Barrington, IL, Jody McKee (John Mueller) of Lexington, KY, Robert Haas of Portage and Theresa Haas (John Dillon) of Ann Arbor; his grandchildren, James Haas, II, Andrea Haas (Joe Keithley), Elizabeth Haas, Nathan Gray (Elizabeth), Esther Scott (Mark), Rachel Haas (Zach Coughlin), Audrey Dwyer (Andrew), Andrew Dillon (Anya Felbinger) and Emma Dillon; and his great grandchildren, Noah, Violet, Alex, Jack Keithley, Thomas, Caleb, Rebecca Gray, Joseph Isaacs, Riley Callow and Lou Dillon.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be directed to either St. Edward Catholic Church, or to the Mendon Public Library.
