He is survived by: his wife Judith Carnat; his sons, Robert Behnke and Thomas Behnke (Cheryl); and his stepchildren, Daniel Carnat (Lore), Robert Carnat (Sue) and Julia Paruch (Rick). He is also survived by several grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.
