He was predeceased by: his parents, Almon Spencer and Rosetta Spencer (Fields); his wife Lois (Lucas); and his siblings, Harold Spencer, Bill Spencer (Chin), Milford Spencer (Lois), Minnie Russell (Fred) and Fern Platt (Warren).
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Richard Alday, Margaret Herman (Marvin) and Patty Barry; his grandchildren, Andy Herman (Sarah), Lauren Herman and Taylor Herman; and his great grandchildren, Nora, Ethan, Rose, Ella and Dimitri. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
