It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hendrik Vaartjes (Mecosta, Michigan), who passed away on July 10, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jan Vaartjes and Aukje Vaartjes (De Haan); his spouse Ariaantjes Jongejan (Jane); his grandchildren, Savannah, Eli, Sigmund, Zack, Nick and Clara Dirkmaat; his siblings, Jenison, Gaitske and Beneker; and his sisters-in-law, Klazien Best and Arie Jongejan. He was also cherished by (brother in law) and many other relatives and friends.
