It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved David Guy Lewis Jr. of Mecosta, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 94, on January 29, 2025. Though David Guy may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those David Guy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Alexander Lewis and Jenny Lewis (Batchelder); and his daughter Anita Marie Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Juanita; his son David (Tammy) of Rockford; his grandchild Addison of Kalamazoo; his children, Sophia and Braden of Mt. Pleasant; and his nephew John Kurtz (Bob) of Morley.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sylvester Community Church (4954 Spruce St, Mecosta, MI 49332). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dave's honor may be given to Mecosta VFW Post 2335.
