He was predeceased by: his parents, Madison McKissack and Isabelle McKissack (Gruette); his wife Kathleen McKissack (Alderink); his siblings, Charlotte Tucker, Terry McKissack, Fred McKissack and Frank McKissack; and his former wife Barbara McKissack.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Snyder (Kathie), Karen Weideman (Bill) and Laurie Buursma; his grandchildren, Will Weideman, Sara Harmsen (Tim) and Katherine Merrill (Hunter); and his great grandchildren, Cole Harmsen, Cooper Harmsen, Wyatt Harmsen and Calloway Merrill.
