He was predeceased by: his parents, Julio Vega and Agustina Vega (Garcia); his former wife Darlene Vega; his son James Ray Vega; and his brothers, Valentine Vega, Julian Vega and Lewis Vega.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Vega; his children, Jarrett Vega (Rebecca), Doug Viscome (Teresa), Karen Viscome and Leigh Cory; his grandchildren, Heather Vega, Faith Vega, Jennifer Vega, Brenda VanRiper (Tim), Justin Price, Samantha Reed, Alex Viscome, Ben Viscome, Heidi Viscome, Leah Scully and Lisa Mitchell; and his close friend Fred Jones. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
