He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Staples and Annie Staples (Diemler); and his siblings, Victor, Vincent, Milan "Mike", Archie Staples, Katherine Foster, Josephine Skinner, Blanche Foster, Tressa, Marie, Margie Staples, Irma Bowden, Marcedes Staples and Dorothy O'Brian.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Lipps; his children, Tina Fessenden, Daniel Staples, Allen Staples (Jessica) and Kevin Staples (Karen); his grandchildren, Ben Staples, Jesse Staples, Meika Bue, Alex Staples, Josephine Staples, Nikki Stapel and Jordyn Staples; his great grandchildren, Keinan Bue, Abby McDonald, Torri Davis and Allanah Jacobs; and his sister Agnes Rhodes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
