He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Simmerman and Elizabeth Simmerman (McCary); his son Paul Simmerman; and his siblings, Vera Maddox, Ernest Simmerman, Marlin Simmerman, Gloria Brown and Eleanor Gardner.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Lynn Victorson (Rich), Glenn Simmerman (Cheryl) and Todd Simmerman (Karil); and his sister Katherine Simmerman Mark. He is also survived by grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
