He was predeceased by: his parents, John Overhiser and Emma Overhiser; his wife Phyllis (Purdy); his sisters, Marion Queen (Eldon) and Lois Cannizzo (Joseph); and his nephew John Queen.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Karen, Jakobi and Deklen; his children, John McClellan Overhiser III (Jack), Karen Edwards (Kyle) and Lori Overhiser; his grandchildren, Brad Smith, Jacob Edwards (Sarah) and Kelly Edwards; and his great grandchildren, Jakobi and Deklen Edwards.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Luce County Historical Society or the Seney Natural History Association.
