He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Elenbaas and Gertrude Elenbaas (Venema); his father-in-law John Jenema (Maude); his daughter Christine Defever; his siblings, Gerald Elenbaas and Frances Horner (Jack); and his in-laws, David Jenema (Pat), Jim Jenema and Dick Jenema.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Elenbaas of McBain; his daughter Dianna Hall (William) of Lake City; his son-in-law Daniel Defever of Grayling; his grandchildren, Brittney Schwarck (Matthew) of Kalkaska, Melanie Turos (Joseph) of Kalkaska, Jade Medendorp of McBain, Theo Medendorp (Audrey) of LeRoy and Seth Medendorp (Penny Deeren) of Lake City; his brothers, James Elenbaas (Jean) of West Columbia, TX and Robert Elenbaas (Barb) of Lake Orion; and his in-laws, Jeanne Suggate (Dan) of Falmouth and Kathy Jenema of Eaton Rapids. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
