He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Gilde and Inez "Marie" Gilde; his sister Phyllis Boonstra; his brother-in-law Dale Boonstra; and his sister Kimberly Baird.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Marie Hose; his children, Michelle Hilliard (Al Lehr) of Cadillac, Kelly Eising (Dale) of Lake City, Steven Gilde of Cadillac and Heidi Kern (Charles) of York, PA; his siblings, Carol Bennett (Leon), Betty Cotter (Dale) and Randy Gilde (Mary); and his grandchildren, James Mosier, Gordon Mosier, Jordan Hilliard, Evan Lehr, Cole Gilde and Lily Grace Barnes. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
