He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Compton and Marion Compton (Hadley); his wife Janet Compton of McBain; his children, Scott Compton (Lisa) of McBain, Bill Compton (Suzanne) of West Olive and Kimberly Bauer of Cadillac; his grandchildren, Jenni Kirt of McBain, Becky Stephan (Michael) of Allendale and Racheal Warner (Jordan) of Merritt; his great grandchildren, Landon Kirt, Cameron Kirt, Blaire Martinez and Olive Stephan; his niece Marya Johnson; and his brother Nevin Compton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to Quiet Creek AFC, and or the Cadillac Area Honor Guard.
